Chevening Conservatives supported Conservative candidate, Maria Hutchings, in Eastleigh. Braving freezing cold temperatures, Anna Firth, John Butterworth and Eileen Black, from Chevening Branch, spent the day in Eastleigh knocking on doors, talking to voters and delivering leaflets to support our Conservative candidate, Maria Hutchings.
Anna Firth said "It was a long way to go and a very cold day, but the atmosphere in the Campaign Centre was infectious and we were soon out and about connecting with voters and delivering leaflets, along with Ministers and other MPs, including Gareth Johnson from neighbouring Dartford constituency.
"We kept moving due to the cold, although Eileen disappeared into a Conservative house for what we suspect must have been a nice cup of tea for what seemed like an age!
"The Campaign Centre looked after us beautifully and it was very invigorating to be among such a large group of supporters, young and old. I would thoroughly recommend taking up the opportunity to campaign at a national level as and when these opportunities come our way".
Other Sevenoaks members who have also been down to Eastleigh include Michelle Lowe and Graham Clack.
