Nizels Golf Club in Hildenborough provided a delicious two-course supper in the delightful setting of the club restaurant; tickets to the event sold out within weeks of going on sale. The set menu, which included a choice of vegetarian, meat and fish dishes and an array of mouth-watering desserts, was followed by an entertaining speech by the Secretary of State which delighted the packed room.
Damian Hinds discussed educational policy, his own experiences since becoming a parent and, of course, provided an insightful update on the current political situation surrounding Brexit. He took a myriad of detailed and in depth questions all of which he answered with thoughtful and humorous comments. The dinner was also a successful fund-raiser with over £1,100 raised for the Association.
Anna Firth, Chairman of the Association said, “we had a fabulous evening. There was a great atmosphere and a real buzz in the room when Damian Hinds was talking. Definitely a politician to watch!"
